A rescued slave rises as a king and kneels to the woman who freed him.

  1. Julian severs his mate bond with Sera to shield his pregnant mistress, then ships her north as a peace offering to the dreaded Blackridge Wolf King. The terrifying monarch turns out to be Nain, the boy Sera pulled from a fighting pit seven years earlier.

  2. At Frostfang Fortress, Nain drops to his knees before her ten thousand riders, pledging his northern legions to her cause. Backed by that army, Sera begins tracing intercepted letters, poisoned evidence, and forged bloodline records.

  3. The trail leads to Richard, the White Oak Wolf King, as the architect behind her father's death and the pack's collapse. Sera weaponizes trade routes and military payrolls to spark mass defections, setting the stage for a showdown at the capital.
