About Short Comic Drama

Short Comic Drama is the funnies section for vertical short dramas, the phone-shaped serials told in episodes that last about as long as a coffee break. Every title that crosses our desk gets inked up like a newspaper strip: one line for the premise, three panels for the setup, the squeeze and the stakes, a handful of stand-out notes, and a nudge about which kind of reader will love it.

Whose paper is this?

No studio signs off on these pages. Short Comic Drama runs on its own steam as an independent reader's guide: none of the series were made here, we are not the company that films them, and we do not operate the app that sells the episodes. Placement cannot be bought. The Front row is simply sorted by what readers on this site open most.

Where the moving pictures come from

Press play and the episode is pulled straight from the machines of whoever owns that series or licenses it out; the footage never sits on our disks. Our own box only hands over the page, the cover prints and a little helper script that lets your browser unpack certain archived episodes.

The next-panel button

Most series run far longer than the free strips shown here. The next-panel button opens a short stop that displays the series code to look up in the partner app, then forwards you. Nothing lands on your clipboard until your own finger taps that button. Many of these buttons are affiliate links: when a reader ends up watching or paying over there, the partner may send us a small cut. That cut keeps the presses turning and has no say in how a strip gets written.

Delivery van and logbook

Cloudflare's network carries each page to your screen and keeps a cached copy close by. Our web server notes every request in a plain access log, much as any web host does. There are no reader accounts here, no sign-up forms and nothing that asks who you are; the privacy page spells out the rest.
