Elena retrieves her cub's moonstone from a fountain while Alpha Liam mocks her packless state

  1. Alpha Liam bonds with Seraphina on Elena's fifth anniversary, calls her human status insufficient, and dismisses her protest as a failed test.

  2. Five years later Liam's pack nears major power at an Alpha Council hotel, with Seraphina in moonlight silk on his arm.

  3. He finds Elena ankle-deep in an ornamental fountain covered in sand, searching for her cub's treasured moonstone.

Stand-outs

  • A fifth anniversary ends in rejection instead of celebration
  • A human mate faces an Alpha who claims pack necessity over personal feeling
