Top surgeon returns home, ambushed by three brothers who deny her identity.

  1. Ava Carter steps off a São Paulo lecture tour expecting her father Edward, but the Langston brothers — Pierce, Derek, and Ethan — barricade the school gate instead. Derek shatters her mother's pocket watch and stomps her right hand while Ethan helps pin her down. Professor Charles intervenes and takes a brutal beating from all three.

  2. Pierce arrives late, chokes Ava, and snaps her already damaged hand, insisting she is an impostor despite Arthur flashing the Carter family power ring. The brothers follow her to the hospital to continue the humiliation. Meanwhile, Charles supplies proof the trio has been skimming hospital funds for personal gain.

  3. At a banquet Ava reveals her identity publicly, yet the brothers keep denying it until Edward appears and confirms she is his heir. Pierce, Derek, and Ethan are arrested on the spot. Their father Marcus attacks Ava in rage and is taken into custody for attempted murder.
