True savior burned by oath, gunshot, and a lost child.

  1. Zoe drags a blind Carter from death and presses a bullet necklace into his palm as a silent vow. Ava steps forward, steals the credit, and locks him into a double blood oath that brands Zoe a fraud.

  2. Carter trusts the lie and puts a bullet through Zoe's right hand. Later, during a kidnapping, he chooses Ava, a decision that costs Zoe the child she carried.

  3. At Carter's coronation the ancient Godmother names Zoe the real rescuer. She torches the oath tattoo from her skin while Carter collapses under the weight of his mistake.

Stand-outs

  • A single piece of jewelry becomes the only proof of a life-saving act
