Online since · 15 episodes

A substitute bride discovers her monster husband's victims were assassins, not lovers.

  1. Aria Blackwell steps into the marriage bed meant for her stepsister, trading her freedom for the cure her father needs. The court whispers that Ronan Vale, ruler of the deep, has drowned seven wives before her.

  2. She learns the dead women were not brides at all but trained killers sent to slit the Merman King's throat. Ronan survived each attempt, and the killers keep coming from both land and sea.

  3. With factions mobilizing above and below the waves, the pair must expose the mastermind before the next blade finds either of them.

Stand-outs

  • Bride-swap premise inverted by assassin revelation
  • Monarch framed as serial killer is actually the prey
  • Land and sea conspiracies force unlikely partners together
