Rival heirs uncover family crimes while fighting their own attraction.

  1. Billionaire Alan Vale dies in a sketchy crash, leaving secret boyfriend Ian a controlling trust vote. That stake chains Ian to Cole, the pro hockey player Alan was publicly engaged to marry, in a partnership neither man requested.

  2. Hostility defines their early meetings as they sift through financial records to protect the asset. Digging through the Vale empire's books reveals an active money-laundering operation buried deep within the family fortune.

  3. Grief and suspicion warp into an unexpected connection as the investigation deepens. The central danger becomes whether their growing bond is genuine affection or the final move in a dead man's calculated endgame.

Stand-outs

  • Inheritance clause forces enemies into bed together
  • Hockey pro vs. secret lover power dynamic
